• Is IsoFix safer than installing with a car seat belt?

  Answer

  If installed properly, a Maxi-Cosi car seat is the safest in its class. The IsoFix method prevents incorrect installation of the car seat, but is no safer than when the seat is installed using the traditional method. IsoFix prevents incorrect installation because a colour indicator (red or green) is used to indicate the correct installation of various parts.
  

• Can I install the Maxi-Cosi Pebble on the front passenger seat?

  Answer

  Yes, you may install the Maxi-Cosi Pebble on the front passenger seat, but only if the airbag has been deactivated. The Maxi-Cosi Pebble can be installed with a base, i.e. the Maxi-Cosi FamilyFix (IsoFix)/EasyBase 2 (belt), or the car seat belt. Very few cars have IsoFix anchor points installed on the front passenger seat, so installation is only possible using a 3-point car seat belt. See the car manual for more information.
  

• Can the Maxi-Cosi FamilyFix base be installed in any car?

  Answer

  No, the Maxi-Cosi FamilyFix can only be installed in cars equipped with the IsoFix system. There are, however, some exceptions to this. See the “List of Car Makes” at www.maxi-cosi.nl.
